5 Effective Ways To Use Affirmations

Affirmations are powerful statements that are capable of making anyone healthy, wealthy and even wise. The spoken word is a powerful tool and can be transmitted into tangible matter providing if it is applied correctly. Here are five ways where affirmations can be used as an effective and powerful source for you to gain control of your life.

1. Believe that every every word in the affirmation has the power to change your life. When Christopher Columbus embarked on his mission he believed in every word that came out of his mouth. His faith was never compromised nor was his actions. An affirmation is a positive statement geared to change the way one thinks. When you apply and believe in every word of the affirmation, everything will come to pass. Yes, there are skeptics in every faucet in society. Persons who may at one time in their lives or another may apply some kind of affirmation and have never seen any result and now they are attacking the very foundation of this ageless spiritual exercise. Believing that the words out of your mouth will bring a positive change in your life should be a fantastic motivation for you.

2. Live by the statement. This does not mean that you have to become fanatical in your way of thinking. It simply means that your subconscious mind (you) and the super-conscious mind (God Mind) agree in principle that the positive statement (the affirmation) you recite will come to pass. Living by the statement requires faith. Many persons have stated positive things regarding the affirmations in Another Thought saying that they have applied the affirmations and have gained much success. Your faith must be grounded and fixed on the statements you recite. The greatest defeat is when you create a demand on the forces of nature to give you the desires of your heart. The positive use of affirmations may result in weight loss, money increase, employment, self-esteem improvement, marriage, just to name a few (no conclusive study has been done). This is not any magic formula or a mystery journey. This is simply putting your faith and a little belief in yourself into action.

3. Think positive at all times. You have heard this statement over and over again. Don't be wary of it because it will save your life. Your positive thoughts are responsible for all the good things in your life, while your negative thoughts are like wise responsible for all the bad things that ever happen to you. We are constantly bombarded with both positive and negative elements. The use of affirmations help to filter out negative thought forces thus leaving positive thoughts which will result in positive actions. An effective way to apply an affirmation is by making a poster, a simple wall hanging or a screen saver on your computer with the printed affirmation. Every time you read your posted affirmation you will re-enforce your commitment towards your success.

4. Don't tell everyone what you are doing. Thoughts are signals transmitted through spiritual waves. Each wave can either be positive or negative. We have to learn to guard our thoughts by not telling everyone what we are doing. Some individuals have a very high negative thought force and they will fight you when try to create positive change. On the other hand, it is expected for some individuals to have some degree of doubt. Ask questions, do the research, seek truth for yourself and victory will be yours to keep!

5. Apply every word into your thought. This is a spiritual exercise that will give you the success you crave. Your desire to "succeed" must out weigh the desire "just to get by". The book "Another Thought" has a selection of carefully worded affirmations geared to bring success to anyone who is willing to try. Each affirmation should be applied one per week over a course of a year. However, if an individual would to apply specific affirmations related to weigh loss, money, self-esteem, and so on. They must be willing to use those targeted affirmations over a longer period of time. Your words must be accompanied by your actions. Don't be hypocritical concerning your words and actions. Both your words and actions must correspond for you to see any positive change to take place.

Affirmations are positive molding statements that will change your life. Reciting affirmations can be boring, monotonous, and at times may sound simply stupid. However, you must realize that words change history, made mankind discover new trends in travel, medicine as well as the power of prayer. The use of affirmations today is not a new theory but we should never turn our backs on this form of human belief that always bring success to everyone who is willing to learn its secrets. Lastly, most successful people would have never been so successful had they stop their quest in believing in the words they recited every day until success came their way. Today those words form the foundation of their success and those words were all affirmations and the inner belief that achieving success is possible.
