What Is Coaching?
Coaching is a process which helps the individual, team or business make the best use of their own resources and achieve their maximum potential.
Coaching helps you to discover and set goals and achieve those goals.
Coaching helps you achieve results in any areas of life, whether in your business, career, relationships, retirement, family life, or health.
In its many forms, and through an ever-increasing number of practitioners, coaching offers the opportunities for you to take a long clear look at what you want, why you don’t have it, and how you can get it.
Coaching is a bridge between what you have and what you really want – and deserve.
Coaching does not tell you how to live your life. But it will help you decide how to live your life with more authenticity, as well as improve your self-regard and well being.
Good coaching gives you the tools to help yourself within a realistic and managed time frame and with measurable results.
Coaching Basics
Coaching is typically undertaken on a one-to-one basis, and the success of each session is largely determined by finding the right coach for you, and your commitment to the coaching experience.
Most coaching is face-to-face, although there is an increasing trend towards telephone and e-mail coaching.
Each coaching session will make a difference if you are prepared, do your homework, and put in the effort. Sometimes one session will be sufficient, but most coaches prefer a commitment to at least three sessions to achieve significant results.
Coaching may be short-term (perhaps where the coach works with a client to achieve a specific goal or work on a particular project) or it may be long-term, where the coach and client works together towards a number of projects and goals.
